  4. 4Submit URLs manually or enable auto-indexing

Features

Auto-indexing

Automatically discover and submit new URLs from your sitemaps.

How it works

IndexQ monitors your sitemaps hourly, detects new or updated URLs, and queues them for submission. URLs are submitted to Google Indexing API and IndexNow (Bing) with intelligent pacing to stay within daily limits.

Configuration

Enable auto-indexing in your site settings. Add one or more sitemap URLs (supports sitemap index files). Configure drip-feed pacing to spread submissions throughout the day. Toggle Google and/or Bing submission independently.

Limits

Google limits submissions to 200 URLs per property per day. IndexQ automatically manages your queue to stay within this limit. Excess URLs are queued for the next day.

Index tracking

Monitor which pages are indexed and detect de-indexing events.

How it works

Add URLs to track their index status. IndexQ checks each URL against Google's URL Inspection API on a configurable schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly). When a previously indexed URL drops from the index, you'll be notified.

De-index recovery

Enable auto-resubmit to automatically resubmit URLs that get de-indexed. IndexQ waits 7 days between attempts and tries up to 3 times per URL.

Limits

Free plan: 10 tracked URLs. Pro plan: 100 tracked URLs. Agency plan: 500 tracked URLs. URL Inspection API has its own quota managed by Google.

Site monitoring

Track uptime, SSL certificates, and broken links.

Uptime monitoring

Add endpoints to monitor. IndexQ checks at a configurable interval (default every 5 minutes) and notifies you immediately when your site goes down or recovers. Response times are logged for trend analysis.

SSL monitoring

IndexQ automatically detects your SSL certificate and monitors expiration. You'll receive alerts at 30, 14, 7, 3, 1, and 0 days before expiry.

Broken link detection

IndexQ scans your discovered URLs daily and reports any that return 4xx or 5xx errors. Broken links are automatically re-checked and resolved when fixed.

AI exports

Generate llms.txt and AI sitemaps for AI discovery.

What is llms.txt?

llms.txt is a structured file that tells AI models (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude) about your site. It includes your site name, description, important pages, sitemaps, and contact info.

AI sitemap

A simplified sitemap optimized for AI crawlers containing your most important URLs. Configure the limit (default 200) and which URLs to include.

How to use

Generate exports from your site's AI settings page. Download the files and host them at your domain root (e.g., yourdomain.com/llms.txt and yourdomain.com/ai-sitemap.xml).

Notifications

Configure alerts for indexing events and site issues.

Email notifications

All plans include email notifications. Configure which events trigger emails: job completion, de-indexing, uptime alerts, SSL expiry, broken links.

Slack & Teams

Send alerts to Slack or Microsoft Teams via webhook. Add your webhook URL in notification settings.

Weekly reports

Paid plans receive a weekly digest summarizing submissions, de-indexed URLs, uptime incidents, and SSL status.

Integrations

Google Search Console

Required for URL submission and inspection.

IndexQ uses a service account to connect to your Google Search Console. Add the IndexQ service account email as an Owner on your GSC property. We use the Indexing API for submissions and URL Inspection API for status checks.

Bing Webmaster Tools

Optional for IndexNow submissions.

Add your Bing Webmaster Tools API key in your account notification settings. IndexQ will verify your site and use the key for IndexNow submissions. This enables instant indexing on Bing, Yandex, and other IndexNow-compatible engines.

IndexNow

Instant URL submission protocol.

Generate an IndexNow key from your site settings by clicking 'Generate key'. Then host the key file at your domain root (e.g., yourdomain.com/<key>.txt). IndexNow submissions are sent alongside Google submissions when enabled.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take for URLs to get indexed?

It varies. Google typically indexes submitted URLs within 1-7 days, but there's no guarantee. IndexNow (Bing) is usually faster, often within hours. IndexQ tracks the status so you can monitor progress.

Does submitting guarantee indexing?

No. Submission tells Google/Bing about your URL, but they decide whether to index it based on content quality, crawl budget, and other factors. IndexQ helps ensure your URLs are discovered.

What happens if I exceed my daily limit?

URLs are queued and submitted the next day. Nothing is lost. With auto-indexing and drip-feed enabled, IndexQ manages this automatically.

Can I use IndexQ with multiple Google accounts?

Currently, IndexQ connects to one Google account per organization. All team members share the same GSC connection.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings > Billing and click 'Manage subscription'. You can cancel anytime. Your plan remains active until the end of the billing period.
